The Harvard Prize Book has, since 1910, been an important and effective way of attracting the attention of talented young people to the opportunities available in Cambridge. This was originally the primary purpose of the Prize Book movement. It has outgrown its original intent and now represents, in over a thousand schools, one of the highest awards a school can make to a student in the junior class

As defined by the Harvard Alumni Association, the Book Prize is to be awarded to an outstanding student in the next-to-graduating class who “combines excellence in scholarship and high character, with achievements in other fields”.
The Harvard Club of Hong Kong cordially invites all local and international secondary schools in Hong Kong to participate in the Harvard Book Prize and Scholarship 2017. We award book prizes annually to three students per school, with one winner and two runners-up selected by the school itself, in order to recognize students of exceptional performance and achievement. Winning this award also makes students eligible for the Book Prize Scholarship. This is an all-expenses paid scholarship to study for 7 weeks at the Harvard Summer School in the United States.
